A restaurant, pizzeria, bar, cold cuts shop and events venue with a contemporary feel. Casa Caldarelli is the fruit of many years of experience accumulated by the Caldarelli family, a historic name in catering in the Campania region. The concept, however, is totally new: Casa Caldarelli combines all the ingredients needed for eating and drinking, whatever the preferences of the public, in a single venue. The business incorporates a restaurant that celebrates traditional local dishes in the most excellent manner, a pizzeria where you can enjoy an authentic Neapolitan pizza made using selected flours to form a characteristically moist dough, a cold cuts shop that sells a range of international products chosen by master butchers, and a bar serving sweet and savoury delicacies made from fresh seasonal products without the use of preservatives. On top of this, a garden with a swimming pool provides the ideal setting for outdoor events of all kinds.

SHOW AND HIDE

The owners of Casa Caldarelli wanted to find a practical way to display their large selection of white, red and rosé wines.

The interior of the premises provided various interesting corners, but Casa Caldarelli wanted to use one in particular for a dual purpose: this was an under-stairs area near the entrance to the restrooms. The idea was to draw attention away from this point and make the entrance less visible by transforming it into a private, intimate area.

A STRATEGY BASED ON A BUILT-IN REFRIGERATED WALL DISPLAY

Given the large number of different wines on offer, we recommended a Wine Library 3P h260, built into fashionable, copper-coloured furnishings specially developed for this area.

With its semi-gloss black laminate finish and great versatility, this refrigerated wine cabinet blends perfectly into its surroundings and forms an extremely useful wall display with a high visual impact. Alongside, a wine rack provides storage for additional bottles.

LIGHT AND SPACE FOR A HIGHLY VISIBLE WINE DISPLAY

The excellent visibility that Wine Library offers is the result of its generous dimensions, LED lights in the doors and a special mirror finish interior which combine to create strategic light effects and reflections that draw the customer’s attention to the labels on display.

The stainless-steel interior shelves are easy to clean and allow the cabinet to achieve maximum capacity: it is therefore able to contain and present well over 600 bottles of various formats. Red or white, still or sparkling, all wines enjoy the perfect climatic conditions thanks to a ventilated refrigeration system that allows any temperature between 4° and 18° C to be set in all compartments.

This built-in Wine Library was the perfect solution to the requirements of Casa Caldarelli: it hides the access to the restrooms while displaying wines in the best possible light and therefore encouraging consumption. The special cabinet design, with low emissivity interior glass, LED lighting and an optimised refrigeration system, also ensures reduced consumption and significant savings in energy and operating costs.
