ROJI, japan fushion restaurant

Nola
Italy

The town of Nola, in the province of Naples, is home to Roji, a restaurant created through the initiative of a group of enthusiasts that brings together Japanese suggestions of sushi cuisine with Mediterranean tradition. A distinctive mix of rigorously selected ingredients processed as little as possible, light cooking and creative combinations that are a definite hit with the most curious palates.

Roji has become a benchmark of the highest caliber for those who consider cuisine, in addition to a way to satisfy their taste, an opportunity for culture, art and discovery.

A USEFUL SPACE BETWEEN OUTSIDE AND INSIDE

The project for Roji came together with the venue.
Coordinating with the property and the architect, a desire emerged to use a space between the walls that would separate two rooms, one inside and the other outside.

Placing one or more wine cellars there would have livened up the environment, saved useful space and catalyzed the public’s attention to the wine bottles.

THE COMPOSITION OF 3 DOUBLE-SIDED DISPLAY CASES

Looking at the design, we realized that the best solution would be a composition of refrigerated display cases that, when juxtaposed, would create a large and fascinating display wall.
We chose 3 double-sided Enogalax 2000s, arranged flush with remote motor.

The glass door that can be opened from both sides, front and back, facilitates staff work because it allows bottles to be picked up in the same way in both rooms.

Stainless steel pull-out shelves were chosen for the interior layout. In addition to being easily moved and cleaned, they allow the maximum number of bottles to be displayed.

BETWEEN EAST AND WEST, THE ALLURE OF AMBER LIGHT

Dim lights. Masculine and rigorous geometries. Shadows and dark color elements to enhance the squeaky color of the dishes.
To make the refrigeration wall coordinate best with the style the room would have, we suggested choosing amber interior lighting.

The orange light would have invitingly echoed the color of shellfish, salmon, fish eggs, and other ingredients typical of sushi cuisine, and Enogalax’s composition would have been transformed into an attractive piece of furniture with a soft, mysterious, and inviting charm.

The special location of the refrigerated display cases, between the two halls, immediately proved to be a happy choice: it is strategic and convenient.

The composition, with its wide visibility and warm glow, is a real piece of furniture that is admired day after day by patrons.
