ROJI, Japan fusion restaurant

Nola
Italy

Roji is located in the town of Nola in the province of Naples. The restaurant was opened by a group of enthusiasts eager to combine the delights of Japanese sushi with those of Mediterranean tradition. This original mix uses rigorously selected ingredients that are processed as little as possible, lightly cooked and creatively combined. It has proved a great hit with curious customers.

Roji has become a favourite destination for all those who believe that, apart from satisfying tastes, food should also provide an opportunity for culture, art and discovery.

A USEFUL TRANSITION AREA

Roji’s interior layout was conceived with the business.

Our discussions with the owners and the architect revealed a need to exploit a gap between sections of wall to separate two dining areas, one indoors and one outside.

Installing one or more wine displays in this area would liven up the environment, ensure a practical use of space and draw customers’ attention to the selection of wines.

A COMPOSITION OF 3 DOUBLE-SIDED CABINETS

On examining the plans, we understood that the best solution would be to install a line of refrigerated cabinets to form an ample and fascinating display wall.

We therefore chose 3 Enogalax 2000 double-sided displays, cooled by a remote motor, to fill the gap.

Glass doors on both sides greatly facilitate the work of the waiters as they can pick bottles from both areas with equal ease.

Inside, the cabinets are equipped with stainless-steel, removable shelves. These can be taken out for easy cleaning, can be positioned at various heights, and can even be set at an angle (simply by moving the screws that fix them to the central bar). These shelves also maximise the capacity of the displays.

BETWEEN EAST AND WEST: THE FASCINATION OF AMBER LIGHT

Diffused lighting. Rigorous, masculine shapes. Shadow and dark shades enhance the striking colours of the food.

To ensure that the wall of refrigerated cabinets blended in with the style of the rooms, we recommended the choice of amber interior lighting.

Amber light invitingly suggests the colour of the crustaceans, salmon, fish eggs and other typical ingredients of sushi cuisine, and transforms the Enogalax composition into an attractive, discreetly fascinating, mysterious and inviting element of décor.

The original location of the refrigerated displays, separating two dining areas, immediately proved effective, strategic and convenient.

With its extensive display of wines and warm lighting, the composition serves as a striking feature and is regularly admired by customers.
